Clowns

January 10th, 2012 · Comments Off on Clowns

“Clowns” was an orchestration exercise I did in high school, back when I was sixteen. Fortunately, the public school I went to in D.C. had an orchestra, so I was able to hear what I did. My subject was a piano piece by Joaquin Turina, chosen simply because it was short and suitable. I had […]

A Concert With Betsy Kagan

August 5th, 2011 · Comments Off on A Concert With Betsy Kagan

For this one, back in San Francisco in 1977, I provided text pieces to accompany two of Betsy’s dances: “Never” and “Frame.”  I also sang a couple of songs, and played some ambient piano music for the pre-show and post-show.  And I also drew the program, which I often did back then.

My article on the ever mysterious and alluring nobleman appeared in the June 2001 issue of the Fortean Times. (I originally had a link to it here, but it no longer works.)
