What a sorry fellow. He sounds like an unlucky cousin of Burlington Bertie, who had a banana with Lady Diana.

I was unfamiliar with that Bertie, but looked him up. He too was unfortunate. I did have the music hall tradition in mind with this song; I hope it has the proper bounce.
